The Virginia Tech Habitat for Humanity campus chapter is being rechartered.   Virginia Tech is building on its strong history of service to the community.  This fall, students at Tech are applying to Habitat for Humanity International, with the support of Habitat for Humanity Inc. of the New River Valley for approval to renew thier charter.  If approved, Virginia Tech will join hundreds of campus chapters around the world who are helping to end poverty housing from the face of the earth.  The VT Habitat for Humanity hopes to build on the successes and relationships developed by the previous campus chapter at Virginia Tech. It hopes to engage students in building and fundraising - and in raising awareness about the need for affordable housing and how they can make a difference.

I am an incoming graduate student to Virginia Tech, and am a former Habitat Intern. I am wondering how to get involved with Habitat at VT, and would love to get in on a building project as soon as my feet hit the ground in August. Thanks!
